National Park Authority
The National Park Authority has 25 members appointed by the Scottish Government. Its purpose is to deliver the four statutory aims for the National Park in a collective and co-ordinated way.
It meets in public at least four times a year at different locations around the National Park area. The agendas and papers for these meetings are posted on this site one week in advance of the meeting.
The Authority has two statutory committees: Planning and Audit. Themed committees and working groups also meet to take business forward.
The Local Access Forum was set up to advise the authority on duties and responsibilities under the Land Reform Act (Scotland) 2003.
